June 5, 2023 - Columbus North baseball concluded its season with a 17-11 record after a 4-2 loss to top-ranked Center Grove in the Jasper Regional Championship on Saturday (June 3). Luke Harmon got the start on the mound for the Bull Dogs and pitched five and one-third innings. He gave up eight hits and four runs while striking out four and walking just two. Ryan Rayburn then finished the game with two hits and no runs allowed. Offensively, the Dogs were only able to muster four hits, but took advantage of a pair of Trojan errors and five walks to keep themselves in the game. Trenton McCain, Blake Osbourne, Joey Fry, and Harmon each had singles for North. McCain and Tyler Blythe scored the two runs for Columbus North, with Osbourne recording the only RBI. The Bull Dogs will graduate five seniors from this year’s Sectional championship squad, Coach Mike Bodart’s first season as head coach.
