September 30, 2025 - After recognizing a number of Columbus North staff members as part of Teacher Appreciation Night, the Bull Dogs beat Southport in boys soccer action 2-1 to finish their conference season with a 4-1 record, good enough for second place behind Bloomington South (4-0-1). Manuel Valle wasted little time putting the Bull Dogs on the scoreboard with a third minute goal off an assist from Luccas Peda. In the 23rd minute, the Cardinals evened the score with a goal on a free kick, providing a 1-1 halftime score. Three minutes into the second half Peda put a Brody Johnson pass in the back of the net for a 2-1 advantage, which the Dogs would maintain through the conclusion of the match. Nicolas De Linan Palacios recorded a pair of saves in 80 minutes in goal as the Dogs outshot the Cardinals 18 to 5, including a 7-to-3 advantage in shots on goal. The JV squad evened their season record at 6-6 with a 3-1 victory in the early match. The JV Dogs finished the Conference Indiana season with a 3-1 record (Terre Haute South did not field a JV team). The Bull Dogs (6-4-4) will finish their regular season with an 11:00 am matchup with Bishop Fenwick High School on Saturday, October 4. Sectional play will begin the following week at Whiteland.
