June 8, 2023 - Columbus North shot 303 to earn a third-place finish at the Providence Regionals at Champions Pointe Golf Club to secure another trip to the State Finals. Center Grove claimed the Regional team title, firing a 292 team score. Floyd Central was second with 300, and the Bull Dogs edged fourth-place Silver Creek by just one shot to grab the last qualifying spot to the State Finals. John Merritt finished in a tie for seventh place, recording a team-best 73. Will Davis’ 74 earned him a tie for ninth individually. Rounding out the Bull Dog scoring was Tyler Wilks, who recorded a 75, and Brady Schneider’s 81. Also competing for North, but score not counting was Jack Schiavello, who carded an 86. The State Finals will be held at Prairie View Golf Club in Carmel on June 13 and 14. Tee times will begin at 8:00 am on June 13. Admission for spectators is $15 (good for both days) and can be purchased through GoFan.co. No cash purchases permitted. Fans will park off site at the parking lot southwest of the roundabout at the intersection of Main Street and River Road. Shuttles will be available to and from the golf course.
