June 11, 2023 - Junior Kathryn Wilson capped an undefeated tennis singles season (30-0) with an IHSAA State Championship, beating Molly Bellia of South Bend St. Joseph 6-2, 4-6, 6-4. Wilson earned a berth in the Finals after defeating Mischa Briggs (Fishers) 6-3, 6-1 in the Semifinals and Emma Gu (West Lafayette Harrison) 6-2, 6-3 in the Quarterfinals. The North girls team was eliminated by Jasper in the Semistate after winning the program’s 38th Sectional and 24th Regional titles while compiling a 19-5 overall record.
