Dogs dominate and win 48th sectional tennis title

October 4, 2025 - Columbus North boys tennis won its 14th consecutive (and 48th overall) sectional title as they swept Columbus East 5-0 on Thursday and Greensburg 5-0 in Friday night’s championship match. The Bull Dogs won all five matches against Columbus East 6-0, 6-0, and the championship matches were only slightly more competitive. Teddy Littrell and Vince Sasse won their one doubles match 6-1, 6-1, followed by a 6-1, 6-0 victory at two singles by Max Wei. The two doubles team of Luca Devidze and Jaishal Padmanabhan cruised to a 6-3, 6-0 victory and one singles player Alek Devidze won his match by the same scores. Jace Branham won the final match, at three singles, 6-1, 6-1 to complete the sweep and earn yet another sectional title. The Dogs will also host the Regional Championships this week at the Columbus North tennis complex. A reminder to tennis fans that the IHSAA charges a ticket fee for the Regional tournament. Passes and BCSC/North High School badges will not be valid for this IHSAA event.
