October 27, 2025 - The top ranked boys cross country team won Saturday’s Evansville regional meet on Saturday, and the girls took third, earning both teams spots in Saturday’s State meet in Terre Haute. The boys claimed six of the top 15 places, including a fourth place finish by Jace Works (15:04.83). Justin Reckers finished sixth, Denton Sluder eighth, Joseph Day ninth, Graham Pumphrey eleventh, and Sam Sternmetz 15th in the 246 runner race. The Bull Dogs’ 34 team points was ten better than Bloomington North (44), and well clear of Floyd Central’s 168 points, which was good enough for third place. In the girls division, Emma Lowther finished 14th (18:55.17), Kodi SMith 20th, Tristan Works 23rd, Sydney Madded 24th, Adira Sluder 33rd, and Maria Gaggiano Camargo 44th among the 247 runners. North’s 96 points place them behind Bloomington South (43), and Floyd Central (80), but well ahead of fourth place Bloomington North (166). The boys will race at noon on Saturday in Terre Haute, with the girls to follow at 1:00. Awards for both races will take place after the girls race.
