Dogs rally to win season opener

November 8, 2025 - A rough first quarter led to a 21-8 lead by Franklin Community in the girls basketball season opener, but the Dogs were able to cut the deficit to just six at halftime and take a two point lead after three quarters en route to a 58-55 victory to start the season 1-0. Kaylie Harmon led a balanced offensive attack by North with 14 points. The Dogs got ten points each from Avery Johnson and Riley Sims, and nine each from Ava Wilson and Miley McClellan in the victory. The JV team also started their season 1-0 with a 58-33 victory in the early game. Bella Kintner topped the Dogs in scoring with 14 points. The Bull Dogs will host Mooresville on Tuesday, November 11 and Martinsville on Thursday. The JV will tip off at 6:00 pm with the varsity to follow around 7:30.
