January 22, 2026 - Head coach Brett White had mid-January circled on his basketball schedule as a challenging part of the season. After a 73-55 loss to Bloomington South and a 58-48 loss at Center Grove, the Bull Dogs traveled to Class 3A top-ranked Silver Creek on Wednesday evening to face their third consecutive ranked opponent. North came home with a 62-46 victory, improving to 15-5 for the season. The Bull Dogs jumped out to a 16-9 lead after the first quarter, but the Dragons rallied to take a 27-25 lead at the half. North responded with an 18-8 third quarter advantage to take a 43-35 lead and stretched the lead in the fourth quarter to win by 16. Kaylie Harmon poured in 27 points, including five three-point goals and a perfect 6-for-6 performance from the free throw line, but White said, following the game, “we got important contributions from a number of girls in a lot of areas.” North forced 20 Silver Creek turnovers, including eleven steals. They also dished out 14 assists and committed only eleven turnovers. The Dogs also got ten points from Riley Sims and eight from Avery Johnson. The JV team improved to 16-1 with a 45-26 victory in the early game. Rian Strietelmeier scored ten points, and the Dogs got eight points each from Claire Finney, Olivia Ratliff, and Hadley Andresen in the victory. The challenging schedule will continue for the Bull Dogs as they will travel to Conference Indiana foe Bloomington North on Friday before hosting highly-ranked Roncalli on Tuesday, January 27.
