Dogs roll past Cardinals in Conference Indiana opener

November 16, 2022 - The Bull Dogs girls basketball team evened its season record at 2-2 as they ran away from Southport 73-40 to begin Conference Indiana play on Tuesday in North’s Memorial Gymnasium. Senior Lauren Barker led all scoring with 20 points as five Bull Dogs contributed nine points or more to the winning tally. Kennedy Horn and Miley McClellan each recorded eleven points while Kathryn Wilson and Hadassah Hurt added nine as nine different Bull Dogs scored. The JV team started the evening with a 30-23 victory over the Cardinals. Sydney Johnson led North with nine points as the JV squad improved to 3-1 for the season. Southport did not have a C-team. Columbus North will host New Albany in a JV/varsity doubleheader on Friday, November 18 beginning at 6:00 pm. The C-team was originally scheduled to host Center Grove the same evening, but the game was rescheduled to November 30 due to the Trojans’ football team playing on Friday night.
