Dogs begin season 2-0 after 50-31 victory at Mooresville

November 13, 2024 - A road victory at Mooresville Tuesday evening pushed the North girls basketball team to 2-0 to begin the young winter season. The Bull Dogs used a 21-7 advantage in the third quarter to pull away from the Pioneers after a 20-15 edge at halftime. Kaylie Harmon (shown) poured in 18 points for the Bull Dogs and Avery Johnson added eleven in the victory. Harmon knocked down four of the Dogs’ six three-point goals and had three assists to lead the Bull Dogs. Kenna Conrad led North with seven rebounds and Ava Wilson topped the steals category with three. Ava Kerber and Claire Finney each had five points as the JV team improved to 2-0 with a 21-19 victory in the early game. The Bull Dogs will be on the road again Thursday when they travel to Martinsville for a JV/Varsity doubleheader beginning at 6:00 pm. The game was originally scheduled for Friday, November 15 but was rescheduled due to Martinsville’s football team playing in the Regional round.
