Girls basketball stays perfect in victory over New Albany

November 22, 2024 - Kaylie Harmon tallied 15 points, including a perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line, and Ava Wilson added nine points in a 47-40 victory over New Albany on Thursday evening. North (5-0) steadily pulled away from New Albany after a slim 24-22 lead at halftime. The Dogs connected on seven of ten free throws down the stretch as New Albany attempted to mount a comeback. The Bull Dogs were 12-for-18 from the charity stripe for the game. The JV team (5-0) dominated New Albany 45-20 to remain undefeated for the season. Sydni Schiefer led the Dogs with eleven points, and Riley Sims added nine in a balanced offensive attack. The Bull Dogs will host Conference Indiana foe Terre Haute North on Tuesday, November 26. The JV will tip one-half hour later than normal due to the travel time for the Patriots. The early game will begin at 6:30 pm with the varsity to follow around 8:00.
