North rolls past Shelbyville

December 4, 2024 - The Bull Dogs used a 24-point second quarter and 18-point third quarter to blow open a close girls basketball game at Shelbyville and win 66-43. The victory pushed the Dogs’ record to 7-0 to start the 2024-25 season. Avery Johnson had a game-high 18 points to lead four Dogs with double-digit points. Kenna Conrad scored 13, Hadassah Hurt tallied twelve, and Ava Wilson added ten for North, who knocked down ten three-point goals and 14-of-20 free throws. Johnson had four of North’s three-point goals, with Hurt adding three more. The JV squad also improved to 7-0 with a 26-11 victory in the early game. Sydni Schiefer led North with eight points. Columbus North will travel to Terre Haute South on Saturday afternoon for their third Conference Indiana game of the season. JV is scheduled to begin at 1:00, with varsity to follow around 2:30.
