December 20, 2024 - From the pool Tuesday, to the mat Wednesday, to the hardwood on Thursday, Winter Rivalry Week continued in Columbus. Columbus North proved to be queens of the court with a 62-33 victory at Columbus East, running their record to 11-1 for the season. The Dogs jumped out early, racing to a 22-5 advantage after one quarter and a 40-14 lead at the half. Kaylie Harmon led all scorers with 17 points, with Avery Johnson adding 15 and Ava Wilson chipping in 10 for the Dogs. North knocked down nine three-point goals for the game and were 9-for-16 from the free throw line. Eight different Bull Dogs scored in the game. Columbus East’s limited roster allowed for just a half of basketball in the JV game, with North winning 17-3. Sydni Schiefer once again led the Bull Dogs with six points. North will compete in the Cheatham Classic in Scottsburg on December 27 and 28 before hosting Whiteland on January 7.
