North’s rally falls short at Bloomington South

January 12, 2025 - Columbus North fell behind Bloomington South14-5 after one quarter and trailed 29-16 at halftime, but a third quarter rally cut the lead to just three points with 1:20 remaining in the third quarter. The Panthers then scored six straight points and held on for a 73-62 victory, dropping the Bull Dogs to 13-3 overall and 3-1 in Conference Indiana. Ava Wilson led all scorers with 21 points off the bench for North, while Kaylie Harmon added 18 and Hadassah Hurt chipped in ten for the Bull Dogs. Columbus North shot well for the game, especially from the free throw line, where they connected on 17-of-19 attempts. However, the Panthers countered, knocking down 21-of-26 from the line and 23-of-46 from the field, while committing only seven turnovers. Claire Finney scored twelve points in the JV game, but the Dogs came up short, losing 44-31 and falling to 11-2 for the season.
