January 14, 2023 - Emma Long connected on four three-point field goals in the first half and her teammates added seven more as they built a 47-17 lead over visiting Lawrenceburg. The pace slowed a bit in the second half, but the Bull Dog lead was more than enough to get by the Tigers 66-32, improving to 11-7 for the season. The Dogs knocked down a total of 14 three-pointers, a program record, in the contest and had four players score in double digits in the victory. Long led the way with 14 points, and the Dogs got twelve each from Lauren Barker, Elise Preston, and Miley McClellan, who had ten of her twelve in the first half. Kathryn Wilson had ten rebounds and Preston and Long each had four assists to lead North. Anabell Hunter had nine points to lead the JV team to a 41-16 victory in one of the early games, improving the JV record to 11-6 and breaking a three-game losing streak. Lawrenceburg did not have a C team, so the Bull Dogs hosted Bishop Chatard in the other sub-varsity contest, winning 41-16. The victory, led by Payton Morris’ 13 points and Natalie Rohm’s ten, moved the Dogs’ C-team to 9-1. North’s varsity and JV teams will host Silver Creek on Wednesday, January 18. The C-team will host Brebeuf Jesuit the same night, beginning at 6:00 pm.
