January 29, 2025 - Statistics don’t always tell the story of a basketball game, but for Columbus North’s girls basketball game at Roncalli, the stats were pretty telling. The Dogs committed 22 turnovers, shot 31% from the field, and connected on only one of ten three-point goals. That recipe led to a 47-29 loss to the Royals, dropping the Bull Dogs’ season record to 15-7 with one regular season remaining. Ava Wilson led the Bull Dogs with seven points. North got six from Avery Johnson and five from Hadassah Hurt in their lowest offensive output of the season. Three Bull Dogs, Kenna Conrad, Kaylie Harmon, and Sydney Johnson, each had five rebounds, and Harmon added three assists. The JV team lost their just their third game of the season 41-24 in the early game. Riley Sims had eleven points to lead North. The Bull Dogs will celebrate their three seniors prior to the varsity game on Thursday, January 30, against Rushville. The JV game is scheduled to tip off at 6:00 pm.
