Junior basketball player Kathryn Wilson was named Richard Hawes Insurance Bull Dog Athlete of the Week for the week of January 2, 2023. Wilson had nine points, seven rebounds, and five steals in a January 7 victory at Bloomington South. The Bull Dogs and Panthers were tied atop the Conference Indiana standings at 3-0 heading into the game. The victory moved the Dogs to 4-0 with one game remaining to secure an undefeated Conference Indiana championship. For the season, Wilson leads the Bull Dogs in field goal percentage (48%), total rebounds (112), and total blocks (15), and is third on the team in scoring (6.0 ppg).
